Ya we’re going to write about a self-proclaimed erotica project created by the model who wore that dress to this year’s Met Gala…

Polish supermodel Anja Rubik started 25 in 2009 with her husband Sasha Knezevic and is relauching today it in Cannes at Pierre Cardin’s maison (whatever). All the photographers are women (like Annie L), all her model friends–Abbey Lee Kershaw is in the teaser video above– are featured, and inspirations like the 70′s erotica rag Viva and vintage Playboy have been thrown around. All good things.

In her Style.com interview, Rubik said, “25 is basically directed toward very strong-minded, ambitious women who are comfortable with themselves and their sexuality. I was thinking a lot recently and looking how sex is approached nowadays, and nudity, and bodies. Erotica kind of disappeared. The way we approach sex is either really prude or very vulgar.”

Whatever Anja, it’s erotic pictures of stunning models–we’re all buying it.

Pamela Love for JCrew

Jewelry designer Pamela Love joined J Crew’s slew of fashionably relevant collaborators last week. Over the past year, Love has grown from Opening Ceremony secret to a cult-like following of the LA/NYC cool (read: rich) girl. Love is at every party and is basically THE NEXT BIG THING. The collaboration is part of J.Crew’s partnership with the 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award recipients, which also include winner Joseph Altuzarra.Love’s pieces are reliably cool, casually shocking, and best of all, affordable. This is a really boring post.

Yeah it pretty much looks like J Crew.

The “My List” section of US Harper’s Bazaar is a documentation of fashion designers’ days so naturally, f*cking absurd. It’s usually like, “I wake up at blah blah time and my servant hands me WWD” but then there are bits of genius like these:

Claiborne Swanson Frank’s “American Beauty”

Former Voguette Claiborne Swanson Frank created this beautifully curated coffee table books featuring some of the most naturally beautiful women of the generation a few years (actually, exactly four years) before mine. Even in a city like New York, where your head can spin off looking in all directions at the girls and women walking up and down the streets, it’s becoming harder and harder to pinpoint those that are, actually, beautiful in the real sense of the word. And the book, published by French house Assouline and photographed by Swanson Frank, does just that.

Rumor has it American Beauty was criticized for it’s “irrelevance” because most of the photographs are portraits of her (mostly wealthy, mostly socialite) girlfriends, but hats off to Swanson for her unapologetic nod towards the pursuit of sharing her own aesthetic (whatever you want to call it) with everyone.
